Design is in the Details/Doors and Drawers

Atlanta Homes Kitchen

I believe you can almost always tell when an interior designer or an architect has been involved in a project.

The clues can be as subtle as a small detail like a specialized nailhead on a bench or as major as the design of a door.

Here are some doors (from the file-forgive the tape on some pictures) that have that  designer fairy dust.

Vanity

Built Ins

Inset doors with “x” design on flush built in cabinets.

Cabinets as windows…genius

Another version in a Chicago residence. Love the pooch too.

Bar

Raised Octagons and triangular mirrors hide a bar cabinet and storage

Gothic doors

Diamond

Diamonds on doors, diamonds on glass back splash in Butler’s Pantry

“X” on mirror with gunmetal finish.

Reverse painted glass

Reverse Painted Mirror with Filagree. Beautiful.

Apple Green

Apple Green Pyramid panels

Gothic inspired motif, well done inset drawers. One of my absolute favorites

Grace Home

Grace Home. Love their ads with the Chocolate baby. Love the mirrored doors

It’s amazing what can happen when a designer is allowed to breathe, dream and go with their gut.

Truly inspired interiors are the result.

And it’s all in the details…

Enjoy,
