It seems I’m on a plane a lot lately. Today, I am in Michigan- we are test flying a jet I’m finishing up. Keeping my fingers crossed that all will go well and we can fly the plane back to Charlotte soon. Since I’m here and there and everywhere, my life as an interior designer is never boring!
I worked in Florida last week. It rained. And rained. And rained. Every. Day.
Not a light shower or a sprinkle. IT POURED!
As rainy as it was last week, I am sure it won’t compare to Hurricane Issac and all that he plans to drop over the Sunshine State. I hope that everyone will be safe and that my clients’ homes will be untouched.
On the last day the rain stopped for 32 seconds. I was traveling with my client’s assistant and we jumped on the chance to get outside and “play”.
I bought a camera not too long ago to throw in my purse. Because I am always apprehensive of taking along my big Canon, it seems to get left behind and I end up using my iPhone. I LOVE my new little camera. It was inexpensive (Best Buy) and I have a ton of fun playing with the settings like Sepia, Black and White and “Happy.” Who doesn’t want to take a picture on “Happy?”
The camera is the Panasonic LumixDMC-ZS19 It is a totally simple point and shoot. Yay for simple!
Anywho. Here are some shots I took between deluges…They are “as is”, no touch ups (I wish I could roll that way!)
Happy Week Everyone!

Those are some pretty fabulous shots for as-is! And I think I’d buy a camera just for the “happy” setting!!
Wow! I want one… Love the black and white images as much as the color. Nice job, Amy.
You captured some beautiful shots!! I love the broad range from black and white, sepia to intense color. Safe travels my friend!
Well, if the interior design thing doesn’t work out, I think you could have a pretty amazing photography career! Beautiful images!
The pics turned out fabulous Amy! I love the sky over the marsh. It shows the 10 seconds of sunshine we had that trip. Safe travels!
Wow, you really made the best of that 32 seconds of nonrainy weather! And the photos are beautiful.
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4 and we totally love it! It is always in my bag. Although, my older model does not have the ‘happy’ setting
At least I don’t think it does? Nice pictures!
Wow! I might have to invest in one of those cameras! Great photo!
Amy,
These photos are great…amazing actually. I just went to the link…only $249…I need one! I love to see what you are up to…you lead quite an exciting life!

HI Amy!
I love the cool shots you’ve taken. Little cameras can have a BIG impact!!
The rain in Florida and Isaac remind me of where I was last August. In the Bahamas for less than 48 hours, then trying to outrun the hurricane via Miami, then Ohio and finally back to New York, where it looked like it would hit us head on. So, I did what every Texan girl would do. Hop a plane and fly home! I’ve decided I won’t be heading South during August anymore. Just seems like prime hurricane season.
Hope your latest jet project is flying high!!
xoxo Elizabeth
