I was overjoyed to find out that my loyal blog readers and friends voted for me and I won the NC Design Online contest!
Thank you so much!
Since I have never entered a design contest, it was doubly exciting and I feel extremely honored as there were so many talented designers with beautiful rooms in the contest. Please visit and check out all the designers’ work. NC Design Online is a great source for not only interior designers but also architects, kitchen designers and other design professionals.

Yesterday we picked up the latest private jet that I was working on in Michigan.
I will post complete pictures after the professional photo shoot but I thought I’d give you a sneak peek.
I’m always surprised at the little wheels on big jets! My bike has bigger tires!
In flight …can you spot our plane on the screen? (Hint: it’s in Michigan)
The tail…from below
Here’s where I sound stupid…

Can’t help it.
Flying home. It never gets old. I am always THRILLED to ride on my projects.
Pictured taken at 6:30 pm….up since 3:30 AM. We could play “spot the dark circles, win a prize.” Too easy, everyone would win.
Pretty wood on the bulkhead. The grain looks velvety!
I love the studded look around the windows. Very fall footwear inspired. Not really.
Even though lavatories on airplanes are small, they always feel more spacious with a window and well placed mirrors.
Somewhere over somewhere.
I love to go into the flight deck during flight. I think all the gadgets are way cool and I like to look out the “windshield”. Many times I have tried to get a picture of a jet flying next to us…I haven’t been able to yet but take my word for it…it’s pretty neat to see other planes in air.
Since the President was in Charlotte for the DNC, we were diverted to another airport with all the other private aircraft. I imagined that all the jets had a slumber party last night on the tarmac. I was very tired.
As soon as I get the photos back from the professional shoot, they will be posted!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Love it!! I wish US Air would hire you to design all of their planes ha! It would be like the days when stewardesses (that’s right) were gorgeous and wore Pucci uniforms!
C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S on winning the contest! You rock!
Cool jet. Look forward to pictures.
Hi Amy,
Congratulations on your win! It is a wonderful room. Counting the votes meant that I was able to read all the great comments that accompanied them throughout the month. The words most often used – soothing, relaxing, comforting, inviting and warm. I am in agreement. It was all of those.
