The weather has suddenly gotten cool for us in the South so now it really feels like fall is upon us.

Time for a trip to pumpkin patch…

Last year I will ashamedly tell you that we didn’t even carve our pumpkins!

We flat ran out of time.

I have high hopes again for this year, after all it’s still early…

I present you with some creative ideas for pumpkin love.

Get on it my crafty friends!!

Coastal Living’s pumpkins make me happy.  The octopus is my fav!

Martha Stewart’s pierced pumpkins–so cool.  If you have the time, patience and dexterity to pull this off, I would like to hire you to run my life.

Silhouette pumpkins.  Thank you City Farmhouse for making me feel incredibly inadequate in every way.

Better Homes and Gardens’ primitive pumpkins.

Don’t laugh when I say that I think I might be able to do this.  Vitamini Handmade has a tutorial how to do these Faux Bois pumpkins.

Yes OWLS!  I love owls right now and these Better Homes and Gardens’ cuties are inspired.

Country Living’s painted pumpkins are some of the first I spied this year.  Painted pumpkins have been around forever but the new colors, patterns and techniques are fantastic.

I love the Missoni feel of My Sweet Savannah’s painted pumpkin.  Since these remind me of fabric patterns they are high on my awesome list.

Happy to see the Chevron trend applies to pumpkins on Alisa Burke’s blog.

Kelli Trontel’s thumbtack pumpkins!  Halloween 2012, people!

A gold leafed pumpkin?  Yes, thank you Babble.

Maybe I’ll photograph the V family pumpkins.  My guess is not.
